

Bike tour. Back in time to the origins of civilizations

Fascinating, full of adventures, historical-cognitive in part trip runs in the center of Uzbekistan at the border of the south-eastern part of the biggest desert of Asia – Kyzyl-Kum (“red sands”) and mountain ranges Aktau and Nuratau. You will see the ancient cities – Samarkand, Bukhara and Shakhrisabz, acquaint with their architectural monuments famous in all over the world and protect by UNESCO as world heritages sights. You will visit lost in the mountains the settlements of local people and acquaint with their age-old traditions. You will be waited for the meeting with wild nature of deserts and mountains. You will visit those places where someday the Great Silk Road was run, you also will visit the sights connected with Tamerlan’ name. The bike tour is full of exotic, adventures and orient hospitality.
The best time for the bike tour is from May to October.
Day 1. (Tashkent)
Arrival to Tashkent. Accommodation in the hotel. The rest after the flight. Night in Tashkent.
Day 2. (Tashkent-Sentyabsay)
Departure after breakfast to Sentyabsay. Driving 240 kms. Today we have free time for hiking in mountain. Dinner.
Day 3. (Setyab- Aktash) by Bike
Departure after breakfast. Day distance, - 24 km/ Lunch en route / Night and Diner in camp
Day 4 (Aktash -Chuya) by Bike.
After breakfast we ride by bike. Lunch en route / Dinner in camp. Day distance is 60 km. The total climb altitude during the itinerary is +200 m; also there will be some good descends to – 150 m of altitude drop.
Day 5. (Chuya - Chinar) by Bike
Breakfast. Ascend on Lyangar Pass, altitude drop is from 300 m on 5.5 kms. Not big pause for sightseeing of the region. The wonderful views at the mountains and the valley are opened from Lyangar. Time for hiking/ Lunch / Further a little along asphalt and further along the ground road to Chinar settlement / Night and Diner in camp under Chinar village.
Day 6. (Chinar - Sarmish -Bukhara ) by Bike and bus
Breakfast. Via Chinar settlement ride on Sarmysh Plateau. Quite long ascend on the plateau, but it is compensated the fine descend into the gorge to rock paintings (33 kms). Lunch. Further via pioneer camp we ride to the place of meeting with a bus. The end of the trek. Via Nurata we come to Bukhara. Dinner

Day 7. (Bukhara)
Bukhara - one of the oldest cities in the East, located in the KyzylKum desert oasis. Already in the Chinese annals III. BC Bukhara is mentioned as large and developed city. According to legend, the founderwas a legendary hero of the "Avesta" and the "Shahnameh" - Siyavush. In the IX century, Bukhara became a center of a powerful state of the Samanids. Here lived and worked the historian and poet Ferdowsi, Rudaki wrote poetry. The favorite person of Bukhara people is also KhojaNasreddin–the national well-known wise man and wit in the whole East. In XVI century Bukhara became the center of a powerful Bukhara Emirate. Medieval Bukhara was not only a major political and cultural, but also a significant religious center of the Middle East. Therefore, in Bukhara, as in any other city in Central Asia, the most complete, bright and versatile are mosques, minarets and mausoleums. The modern Bukhara - is the regional center of Uzbekistan with a population - more than 200 thousand people.

Full-day excursion along Bukhara: visiting architectural monuments, including Samanids’ Mausoleum (IX-X cc B.C.), Chashma Ayub (XIV-XIX cc.), Poi-Kalon Complex (XII-XVI cc.), Ulugbek’s Medrese (was built by Ulugbek – distinguished mathematician and astronomer, Tamerlan’s grandson), Lyabi-Khauz Complex (XVI-XVII cc.). Bolo-Khauz Mosque (XIX c.), citadel – Ark – an ancient fortress, give the beginning of the growth of Bukhara city (VI-VII, XVI cc. B.C.). Night in hotel
Day 8. (Samarkand)
Samarkand - one of the oldest cities in the world, along with Rome, Athens and Babylon was known as "Marakanda" in the middle of the first millennium BC and was the capital of the ancient state - Sogdiana. In the Middle Ages it was the center of a powerful empire of Tamerlane. It produced the world's best paper and a great velvet, stained glass and silk. Today it is the second largest city in Uzbekistan with a population of more than 600 thousand inhabitants. During the years of Independence of Uzbekistan Samarkand became even more beautiful, carefully preserving its history and its most important treasure - the monuments of medieval architecture, many of which are protected by UNESCO, as the masterpieces of world heritage.
Breakfast. Driving Bukhara – Samarkand (290 km, 5 hrs.). Accommodation in the hotel. Half-day excursion in Samarkand. Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Rukhabad Mausoleum (XV c.), Ensemble of Registan Square (XV-XVII cc.), Bibi-Khanum Mosque (XV c). Ulugbek’s observatory (XV c.), Shakhi-Zinda Mausoleum, Al-Bukhari Complex (XVI-XIX cc.), Siab bazaar and etc. Night in hotel.
Day 9. (Tashkent)
Breakfast, departure to Tashkent. Night in Hotel.
Day 10. End of Tour
Transfer to the airport. Departure to home.
